Hello and welcome everyone,

Can you believe it is already July 9th, the Fourth of July celebrations are over, and summer is in full bloom?  Many of my fellow RWA chapter members are getting ready to depart for Dallas for RWA Nationals, and to those who are packing, flying, or yes, even driving, to Texas, may you have a safe journey and enjoy the experience.

Nationals is definately an experience that I’ve enjoyed when I’ve attended in the past, but this year, unfortunately, I cannot attend. But, I do have a great reason, as I will be vacationing in Key West with my husband’s family for a week. It is my hope to work on a novella while we’re flying to Florida and driving the long stretch of highway/bridge leading to the Keys.  Since we’re flying to Miami and have more than three hours of drive time, I hope my long hand is up to the challenge…lol.  I could take my laptop, but with my ipod, BlackBerry, my daughter’s portable dvd player and various Disney dvds, I don’t think there’s room on the plane or in the rental car.

Still, it would be great to write when I can and I certainly plan on getting a rough draft finished if nothing else.  Oh, and of course, I’ll read. I already have a few books to take, starting with a reissued historical by Mary Balogh, a spicy book by Lora Leigh, and a romantic suspense thrown in there for fun.  I actually love reading romantic suspense, mainly because they are so different from the genre I write.

Speaking of my genre, and yes, my book, I’ve great news!  My web designer, Justin, who is fabulous by the way, at Stonecreek Media, has finished up the promotional video for Seductive Persuasion and added it to my website. You can find the link on the home page and in the paranormal book section right under the title.  Click the link and enjoy the video! It really captures the look, tone, and feel of Seductive Persuasion and I am very happy with the results. 

Also, stay tuned periodically, as I hope to include the release date and ISBN numbers just as soon as I have them.  A few weeks before the book is scheduled for release, I am going to promote the video on YouTube or other promotional sites and I hope that it will draw curiosity and make readers want to buy the book. I believe it will!  Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. 

When I’m back from Key West, I’m going to post information about my first contest. I’m still working out the details and such, but once I’ve figured it out, I’ll let you all know. I hope you’ll return to find out and participate!  I’m planning some very nice prizes and will have more postings about Seductive Persuasion, as well.
